Rutgers researchers study ‘brain fog’ among some COVID-19 patients

Work or daily activities severely affected for some patients

Dr. William Hu, Chief of the Division of Cognitive Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, is leading a team of researchers in a study of “brain fog” in some COVID-19 patients. Lots of patients, Hu said in an interview with NJ Spotlight News, “start to notice their thinking become sluggish,” sometimes severely interfering with their work or daily activities. “Importantly, we want to know if an infection like this increases your risk for future brain diseases like strokes and Alzheimer’s,” he said.
