It looks like the candidates are set for the congressional election in New Jersey’s 7th District.

Jason Blazakis, a former U.S. State Department official, suspended his campaign for the Democratic nomination Tuesday, leaving Sue Altman as the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee.

Altman, a longtime progressive activist, will challenge incumbent Republican Rep. Tom Kean Jr., who won the seat in 2022. He defeated Democratic Rep. Tom Malinowski in a tight race after redistricting pushed more GOP voters into the 7th District.
