George Helmy was Chief of Staff for Gov. Phil Murphy from 2019 to 2023, having previously served as State Director for Senator Cory Booker. Senator Helmy represented New Jersey in the United States Senate during 2024. He is currently a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and serves on the Board of Governors of Rutgers University.
