Live performances are finally set to resume this fall. But before you head to a show, know that 30 theaters in 11 counties will require audiences to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Venues will also accept a negative PCR test within 36 hours of the performance or a negative antigen test within six hours. Mask wearing will also be enforced indoors.
The guidelines, according to the New Jersey Theater Alliance, were put in place due to the growing number of new COVID-19 infections in New Jersey and are similar to the guidelines being used on Broadway. They come on the heels of three New Jersey performing arts centers recently making their COVID-19 protocols stricter.
