Residents in Mullica Hill are continuing on the road to recovery one year after a strong tornado ripped through their lives during Tropical Storm Ida. Crews are hard at work rebuilding homes that were destroyed, with some having to start from the ground up.
At Wellacrest Farms, which lost 45 animals during the tornado, production is back to where it was before the tornado, with 600 cows being milked daily. Owner Marianne Eachus said it’s still hard to dwell on the tornado — “It’s very emotional.”
“It’s starting to feel like a community again. Life is coming back to this community. We’re all rebuilding,” said Steve Moraca.
