Princeton University students are heading into their second night of protests over the war in Gaza. The students are engaging in what they call a solidarity sit-in, choreographed with similar protests at dozens of college campuses across the U.S.
The second day of the encampment at Princeton had a quieter start than Thursday, when two graduate students were arrested for refusing to take down a tent. Friday also saw more counter protesters supporting Israel.
As well as calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, the pro-Palestinian protesters are calling for Princeton University to divest from Israel, begin affiliating with Palestinian institutions and end study-abroad programs in Israel.
Outside the campus walls, a different group of student protesters criticized Princeton for hiring professors allegedly affiliated with Iran.
