Friday is the last day of the 26th U.N. Climate Change Conference as global leaders work to finalize a new agreement to hold global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The international summit has been called the world’s “last, best chance” to avoid the worst consequences of climate change, but leaders of the most at-risk nations and climate activists have criticized the steps announced so far as insufficient.
U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6th), who recently returned from the conference in Glasgow, Scotland, spoke to us about what has been accomplished and the challenges that remain.
