A union is coming to the Medieval Times Lyndhurst location, joining many other companies the state like Amazon and Starbucks. In a 26-11 vote held Friday, the 40 Medieval Times performers made their voices heard, joining the American Guild of Variety Artists which represents theatrical and stunt performers. The Medievalists are seeking higher pay, health insurance, proper safeguards and a culture of respect for each performer. In a statement the union said, “We look forward to working with management to create a fairer, safer, and more enjoyable Medieval Times.” This makes the first union to be organized at the chain’s 10 locations in North America.
