Lawmakers have questions for NJ’s cannabis commission

Lawmakers want to know why the state’s new recreational cannabis market hit delays and snags before opening, setting off a series of oversight hearings beginning Thursday at the State House to probe both the rollout and how the multibillion-dollar industry is operating.

The Cannabis Regulatory Commission, which regulates the market, denies there were delays, saying what it was striving for was success, not speed.
