Lawmakers received the first big-picture revenue forecast for the fiscal year 2024 budget on Thursday. At the State House in Trenton, they heard for the first time from State Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio.

They also heard from nonpartisan fiscal experts, who projected less revenue collections by the state than Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration is projecting.
