Former residents of Oakwood Plaza in Elizabeth who were displaced by Tropical Storm Ida are pleading for help. Community advocates joined them Monday at City Hall to demand the mayor of Elizabeth step in.
Displaced tenants have been living in hotels for months but some are now being told they must leave. They say CIS Management, which owns Oakwood Plaza, has offered to place them in other properties but that those properties are too far away.
