A new Rutgers-Eagleton poll shows that 50% of registered voters say they will vote or already have voted to reelect Gov. Phil Murphy, while 42% say they have voted or will vote for the Republican contender, Jack Ciattarelli.
Murphy could not have planned for a worldwide pandemic, and, for the most part, his handling of the crisis has been received well by voters. But where COVID-19 has hurt the governor most is among the business community, where lockdowns and other restrictions on commerce were unpopular. Did Murphy deliver on the campaign commitments he made during the 2017 election?
