In an effort to get more people vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, the state held a “Grateful for the Shot” event Wednesday night in Paterson at the Calvary Baptist Church, part of a partnership that brings vaccine access directly to places of worship.
“There are lots of reasons people may not think it’s necessary or may be reluctant to get that booster,” said Dara Kass, regional director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services at Wednesday night’s event. “They may just not understand how important it is in preparing them through the opportunities we have going forward to go back to work, get out to restaurants, and really get to what is going to be a new normal.”
