A new COVID-19 testing site at the Camden County Complex is making it easier for New Jerseyans to know their status. The site opened up for the first time Wednesday morning and is one of several new testing locations in the county. Tests are self-administered through a saliva PCR kit. The turnaround for results are estimated to be between 24 and 48 hours.
“When you come here you’re given a tube. There’s a scan code. It’ll take you to the vault account and you just pretty much answer all the questions, and then it’ll walk you through the app, how to do it. You spit into the tube. Once you’re done, you drop it into a plastic baggie and then you take it to the end here and drop it to the specimen bag …We’re not touching, everything is being done in their cars, windows up mask on,” said Michelle Serrano, the sites principal clerk.
