As all eyes are on the close congressional races in New Jersey, pollsters are keeping their finger on the pulse of voter priorities and how they’ll play in Tuesday’s election.

Ashley Koning, from the Eagleton Center for Public Polling at Rutgers University, and Patrick Murray, director of the Polling Institute at Monmouth University, discuss the election, the issues and the tight races.

“Those who follow the trends of public opinion knew that it was going to come back to bread-and-butter issues. The Supreme Court’s decisions on abortion and guns had their play in the summer, but again for independent voters, it’s about inflation, it’s about cost of living, so it gives the Republicans an advantage,” Murray said.
