New Jersey’s diversity of immigrants is famous, but it’s even more pronounced among its children.
According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, 41% of New Jersey children under 18 are foreign-born or live with at least one parent who is foreign-born, as of 2022. That’s the nation’s second highest percentage in the foundation’s count, behind only California at 44%.
