Inches of rain in New Providence, most in NJ

Connecticut got the worst of the rains and flash floods that swept through the Northeast, but New Jersey wasn’t spared. The worst of it was in New Providence, which saw 4.9 inches from Saturday to Monday morning. Other cities and towns in New Jersey topping 4 inches were Mountainside, Springfield and Livingston, according to the National Weather Service’s midday report on Monday.
