NJ Spotlight is sharing election coverage with NJTV News, our sister organization, which invited all candidates to complete a brief survey and record a video message; we have included those for all the candidates who responded.
The 15th District is made up of 10 communities in Hunterdon and Mercer counties: East Amwell, Ewing, Hopewell Borough, Hopewell Township, Lambertville, Lawrence, Pennington, Trenton, West Amwell, and West Windsor.
This is a blue district, as voter registration is 47% Democratic and 14% Republican; most other district voters are unaffiliated.
Both incumbents are seeking re-election to second terms. They are Verlina Reynolds-Jackson of Trenton and Anthony S. Verrelli of Pennington.
Only one Republican filed: Jennifer Williams of Trenton.
An independent ticket is also running under the Legalize Marijuana Party banner. The candidates are Edward “NJ Weedman” Forchion of Trenton and Dioh Williams of Ewing.
