Groups across New Jersey observed World AIDS Day on Thursday and focused on the theme, “Achieving Equity to End HIV.” Reports show that 77% of New Jersey cases come from minority communities that have traditionally been underserved by health care providers. Fixing that will entail targeted outreach — like vans equipped to test and treat people for HIV in the neighborhoods where they live. New Jersey has set a goal to end the HIV epidemic by 2025.
