Democratic Rep. Andy Kim, who was part of the so-called blue wave in 2018, is hoping to keep that momentum going in this year’s midterm election. He’s being challenged by Republican businessman Bob Healey in a district that, because of redistricting, is now more favorable to Democrats.
It’s true that all politics is local and people are talking about what’s impacting their pocketbooks. But it’s national issues like abortion and sex education that get voters stoked enough to actually cast a vote, and that cuts both ways.
