Still no approval for dozens of businesses wanting to sell medical marijuana in NJ

Businesses that applied in 2019 for licenses to sell medical marijuana are still waiting

Dozens of business owners hoping to sell medical marijuana in New Jersey say they’re fed up. After they applied for licenses to sell in 2019, the state’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission has yet to give them approval.

The commission held a public meeting Tuesday night where they approved another grow site for Harmony Foundation, a medical marijuana dispensary, which already operates a facility in Secaucus. But there was no mention of which medical marijuana businesses would be receiving licenses to sell or when that would happen.

The commission is set to meet again next month. Businesses awaiting licenses are hoping they’ll get a firmer answer by then.
