State epidemiologist on dangers of flu and COVID-19 ‘twindemic’

Health experts are using a new term as the state prepares to enter cold and flu season: A “twindemic.” It’s a dreaded scenario that threatens the health care system with battling both COVID-19 and the usual cases of the flu. And yes, you can be infected with both.

In a recent interview, CDC Director Robert Redfield warned the fall could be the worst ever for public health and called on the public to help keep the outbreak under control. New Jersey state epidemiologist Dr. Tina Tan joins Senior Correspondent Briana Vannozzi to explain what’s ahead for New Jersey residents.
