After a month-long dispute, a state-appointed arbiter is allowing Wayne Township to enforce a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for all municipal workers. The issue came to a head after the local police union sued the township over the legality of the order.

The policy requires all Wayne employees to be fully vaccinated by Sept. 17 or lose their jobs. The approved mandate allows for some medical and religious exemptions.
