The Murphy administration is expanding eligibility for COVID-19 vaccination appointments, making a big announcement this week that included teachers among the prioritized groups. At the end of the month, people with asthma, high blood pressure or with cystic fibrosis are among those who can now sign up for an appointment.
But residents with disabilities, living independently or with family, say they’ve largely been left out of vacccinations plans. Gov. Phil Murphy said that “part of the objective of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is to get to … residents with disabilities not in group homes … not just the J&J vaccine.” Senior Correspondent Brenda Flanagan reports.
