February is Black History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions Black Americans have made to the country. It’s also a time to reflect on the continued struggle for racial justice.
Leaders in the Plainfield Public School District are doing their part to ensure history isn’t being taught from white-centered perspectives, after a year that saw historic challenges to systemic racism and finally saw the appointment of the nation’s first Black woman as vice president.
