Now that summer is here, families who rely on schools to feed their kids can turn to summer meal programs, available at sites like schools and camps. The summer meal programs are more critical than ever, as the pandemic has laid bare the problem of food insecurity in New Jersey and nationwide.
This year, there are more in-person programs. But there is also an option at some sites for grab-and-go to make the meals as accessible as possible.
Support for “Hunger in NJ” has been provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
