The state’s year-and-a-half-long eviction moratorium ends on Wednesday for middle-income tenants who make between 80% to 120% percent of their county’s median income. Renters earning below that threshold will still be protected through the end of the year. For example, in Essex County that applies to a couple making less than $62,800 a year.
