The private company managing staffing for the Department of Health is looking to hire workers for its problem-filled vaccination hotline. Health officials put the line on hold to fix technical glitches and boost training for operators.
The Department opened the call center about three weeks ago and says more than a thousand residents are either working for the hotline or in training. There are about 2,000 agents in total but not all of them are from New Jersey.
A spokesperson for the health department says the state is requesting that the vendor prioritize state residents for those jobs.
