A new report from the Southern Poverty Law Center adds several “parents rights” groups in New Jersey to a list of anti-government organizations, including local chapters of Moms for Liberty and the New Jersey Project.
In an interview with NJ Spotlight News, Tina Kelley, Senior Education Reporter for NJ Advance Media, said, “This is a list of anti-government organizations that was put out by Southern Poverty Law Center as part of their hate map. The hate map also includes some more traditionally controversial groups that include KKK and militias and that sort of thing.”
Kelley said, “We heard from the New Jersey Public Education Coalition that they had submitted screenshots and social media information to the Southern Poverty Law Center to prove that these organizations were doing troublesome activities.”
