Paula Cerdas of Union County saw a desperate need to fight the growing hunger problem in her community. As a result,  the nonprofit organization Lace for Love was born; it collects once-used wedding dresses and sells them at a discount.

The profits from the sale of the dresses go to feed hungry families in New Jersey through Lace for Love’s partnership with the hunger-relief organization Table to Table.

Support for “Hunger in NJ” has been provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
