Gov. Phil Murphy is fending off criticism over the state’s missed deadline to start COVID-19 vaccinations in long-term care facilities on Monday. Instead, New Jersey will join 36 other states distributing inoculations to residents of such facilities beginning on Dec. 28. Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli said the deadline was missed by one day because there was so much information to be sent to the federal government.
