The federal government and a coalition of 16 states, led by New Jersey, filed a historic antitrust lawsuit against tech giant Apple on Thursday.
The Attorneys General argue that Apple’s policies toward third-party software and hardware developers are designed specifically to remove consumer choices and stifle innovation by competitors. Apple has said it believes the lawsuit, if successful, would set a dangerous precedent and hinder the company’s ability to bring new products to market.
New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin spoke with NJ Spotlight News about the new lawsuit, and the argument he intends to make in federal court.
