After being dubbed the “single worst place on earth” by New Jersey commuters, the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan is finally in line to get a makeover.

On Thursday, plans were unveiled for a new $10 billion facility to replace the obsolete 73-year-old terminal. Construction on the project’s first phase is set to begin at the end of this year; the entire project is expected to take until 2032 to complete.

Commuters in Clifton on Friday morning told NJ Spotlight News the prospect of a new terminal is good, even if it comes with a steep price tag. Some straphangers noted they’d like to see the buses upgraded as well.
