As we approach Mother’s Day, Newark is honoring moms with a special health and wellness event. The city partnered with Walgreens pharmacy to offer residents at Kretchmer Senior Center free health screenings and COVID-19 tests.

Health officials say the pandemic is proof of how important it is for people to know how to take care of themselves. The Department of Health also provided information to people about where to get vaccinated.
