Truck drivers are in high demand in New Jersey, and the need to fill those jobs is only increasing. One in 15 jobs in the Garden State are in the trucking industry.

The state Department of Transportation recently cut the ribbon on its new Transportation Training Facility in Bordentown. It’s a state-of-the-art site that includes specialized labs and equipment that allow for hands-on training. Last year, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission issued more than 21,000 commercial driver’s licenses, about 12% more than the yearly average before the COVID-19 pandemic.
