Fresh off unveiling his budget proposal for the next fiscal year, Gov. Phil Murphy talked with NJ Spotlight News on Wednesday about the plan’s highlights, including the planned expansion of the “Anchor” property-tax relief program and the expiration of the corporate-business tax surcharge.
The governor also gave his take on other issues, including a heavily criticized, and currently stalled, bill in Trenton that would undercut the state’s election finance watchdog, a looming faculty strike at Rutgers University and oral arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court in a case that will determine the future of the Waterfront Commission.
