It was back to the classroom this week for thousands of New Jersey students after a post-holiday surge in COVID-19 cases forced many districts to temporarily switch to remote learning. According to the state Department of Education, as of Monday, just 28 districts were providing remote instruction.
School administrators say they are comfortable with the return to in-person learning as COVID-19 numbers have dropped, although they must now adjust to the latest Centers for Disease Control and Protection guidance on quarantines, should a student or staff member become ill with COVID-19.
