After a brief reprieve from the wet weather, residents in flood-prone areas of New Jersey are bracing for another storm this weekend. More heavy rain and winds that could reach 60 mph are expected to hit the state Friday night into Saturday with the potential for flooding in some areas.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for 16 counties.
Residents in northern New Jersey are still dealing with the flooding brought on by Tuesday’s storm. Paterson and Wayne, among other cities and towns, were just seeing the full effects of that rainfall Friday when the Passaic River finally crested.
