The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is reporting 13 more cases of unusual, but severe blood clots from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Each occurred before the government’s 11-day pause on administering the COVID-19 shot. No additional deaths were reported and no new cases of the disorder have been reported since resuming the vaccination.
The CDC said that means 28 people all told have now been identified with the blood clots, called thrombosis, along with a low level of platelets in their blood known as thrombocytopenia.
