You may have noticed more cars on the roads during rush hour. For some employees, it’s the end of remote work as they knew it, while others are now on a regular hybrid schedule.
Even if more workers are back in the office, polls show most would prefer not to be. According to a recent Gallup Poll, hybrid schedules are becoming more popular than ever — 49% of American workers who can work remotely are doing so for at least part of their workweek. The percentage of workers who are fully remote has plummeted from the peak of the pandemic; that number now sits at 29%.
In New Jersey, some commuters notice bigger crowds at train stations and on trains. Some are enjoying a return to the office, others not so much.
