New Jersey is one of the last states in the nation to release its standardized test results from the spring. After more than two years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the report card indicates what many advocates in education had feared — a pattern of learning loss among students. While New Jersey still rates ahead of many states by some metrics, the test results show noticeable declines in English language arts and math.

A Burlington County native, she's honored to be serving and covering her home state and raising her family there.
