The embattled U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez will now have another week to prepare for his federal trial on corruption and bribery charges, as Judge Sidney Stein on Friday moved the start date back from May 6 to May 13.

The senator and his wife have been charged in a bribery scheme that included gold bars, cash and a luxury vehicle that were allegedly traded for political favors. Last week, Stein agreed to split their trials and pushed Nadine Menendez’s start date until at least July due to an undisclosed health issue.
