Integrity House, one of the largest nonprofit providers of substance use disorder treatment, is celebrating 56 years of service in Newark.

“We are really proud to be anchored here in the city of Newark. We do have locations throughout the state of New Jersey in Hudson County, Bergen County, Morris County, Ocean County but Essex County is where it started 56 years ago,” said Robert Budstock, president and CEO of Integrity House at a celebration in Lincoln Park on Thursday.

“We are proud to be partnered with the city of Newark to help individuals to battle addiction and also the associated problems that go along with addiction such as mental health, primary care problems, housing,” Budstock said.

The organization serves about 3,000 people in its substance use program. And its mental health program in Newark helps about 900 people, said Eman Gibson, chief clinical officer of Integrity House.
