Amy Rogers, a stay-at-home mom of three from Oakland has become a lifeline for a community of senior citizens trying to get appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations. After successfully lining up a vaccination appointment for her mother who lives in Rockaway, word got out.
While her kids are at school, Rogers has been going online to try to make appointments for other senior citizens. “I feel like as New Jerseyans we can do better,” Rogers said. “We can serve this population better. And find a better system for scheduling.” Correspondent Leah Mishkin has the story.
