Colleges and universities across New Jersey are looking for ways to address financial stresses brought on by the pandemic. Georgian Court University in Lakewood is raising its tuition. But enrollment is looking up, with the school expecting about 200 freshman and 150 transfer students for the upcoming school year. The school also recently entered into an agreement to sell part of its 150-acre property to a nearby yeshiva.
Georgian Court isn’t alone. Drew University in Madison is looking to sell 63 acres of its 168-acre campus, pending support from the town government.
