There’s a break for New Jersey homeowners faced with property tax bills that are due Friday, May 1. The governor has signed an executive order extending the grace period on those payments to June 1 to help those homeowners facing financial difficulties.
Technical difficulties are impacting businesses and unemployed residents desperate for financial help. The state’s unemployment website went down again for a brief period Monday night, following an outage Sunday. And computer glitches slowed down the processing of new SBA loans for small businesses as the program resumed Monday.
Merck announced Tuesday that it plans to consolidate all of its its New Jersey offices into a single headquarters in Rahway. It hopes to complete that move by 2023.
