A resurgence in NJ's film industry was fueled by state tax credits

Whether it’s the remake of the movie “West Side Story” or several Netflix productions, a lot of filming is being done in New Jersey. This year saw a resurgence of the industry, thanks to tax credits the state makes available to production companies. That’s led to increased revenue and new jobs, as well as some bragging rights for the Garden State.

In an interview with NJ Spotlight News, Steven Gorelick, executive director of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, discusses the industry’s renewal in the state.
