A job fair for hundreds of open positions was a welcome sight in Atlantic City Tuesday. The casino industry has been especially hard-hit in the past year as COVID-19-related shutdowns and limited capacity caused an 80% loss in profits.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has seen steady growth in business over the last seven months, however, and held the job fair to fill 700 positions. Many of the positions are seasonal, in preparation for the summer season, but if the industry continues to grow, some of those positions could become permanent.
