Republican Party candidate for governor Jack Ciattarelli is still struggling with name recognition and trailing Gov. Phil Murphy in most polls. On Tuesday night, the first debate between the two was was a fiery show.
The Ciattarelli campaign has failed to register with voters so far, but, Tuesday night, at least, he was able to stand next to the Democratic incumbent and land a few body blows. It certainly makes the next gubernatorial debate, hosted by NJ Spotlight News on Oct. 12, that much more important, for both camps.
