Soccer fans will soon have their first chance to score a seat to the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament. But it won’t be easy – or cheap.
FIFA is launching a lottery-style presale window Sept. 10-19. Presale is exclusive to fans with Visa debit, credit and prepaid cards, but that doesn’t guaranteed a ticket. Fans must register their interest for a chance to be randomly selected to buy tickets at a designated time in October.
Fans will be notified at the end of September if they’ve been chosen, and they’ll still have to pay full price for a ticket. According to FIFA, tickets will range from around $60 for group stage matches up to at least $6,000 for the World Cup Final, which will be held at MetLife Stadium.
